Who we are

What we collect

We only collect what we need to run the garage.

• When you book: your name, telephone number, email address if you give one, your vehicle registration, the service you need and any notes you add. For a mobile appointment we also need the address and postcode we are travelling to.
• When you use the registration lookup: the registration you type. We pass it to our vehicle data provider to retrieve DVLA and MOT information about the vehicle.
• When you check a postcode: the postcode you type, which we send to a postcode lookup service to confirm it exists and work out the area.
• When you contact us: your name, telephone number, email address if given, and the content of your message.
• Automatically: your IP address, recorded with bookings and enquiries so we can protect the forms from abuse.

Why we use it

• To arrange and carry out the work you have asked for — this is necessary to perform our contract with you.
• To contact you about your appointment if something changes.
• To keep an accurate service history against your vehicle, so we can advise you properly next time.
• To protect our forms from spam and abuse, which is our legitimate interest.
• To send you occasional offers or reminders, but only if you have ticked the box asking us to. You can tell us to stop at any time.

Payments

We do not take payments through this website and we never ask for card details online. You settle up at the garage or with the fitter when the work is done.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information and we do not pass it to anyone for marketing. We share it only with the suppliers who help us run the business:

• Our vehicle data provider, when you look up a registration.
• A UK postcode lookup service, when you check a postcode.
• Cloudflare, whose Turnstile check protects our forms from automated abuse.
• Our website hosting and email providers, who store the data on our behalf.

We will also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and vehicle records for as long as they are useful for servicing your vehicle and for as long as we are required to for tax and legal purposes. Enquiries that do not lead to work are cleared out once they are no longer needed.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete your information, where we are not required to keep it;
• restrict or object to how we use it;
• stop sending you marketing.

Get in touch and we will sort it out. If you are not happy with how we have handled things you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
